The following have been released from tryout agreements, and will not be on the Rangers' opening night roster:
Defense: Garnet Exelby, Brandon Manning, Alexei SemenovWith the cuts, the following players are reportedly battling for a spot (approx. 3 or 4) on the roster:
Forwards: Brian Boyle, Erik Christensen, Ruslan Fedotenko, Tim Kennedy, Derek Stepan and Todd White
It will be very interesting to see who is willing to work their butts off to make the team. Fedotenko and Boyle have both impressed. I can't see Christensen not making the roster, and I would like to see Kennedy get some more playing time. The Rangers staff has 3 more pre-season games to make their decision.
